On October 23, Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy L. Heidan responded to a reported theft at the Payless Shoe store located in the 1700 block of Fry Road in Katy. Upon her arrival she met with the store manager who told her she had observed a women conceal merchandise in her purse. When the woman walked out of the store without paying for the merchandise, she was stopped and returned to the store office. The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Brenda Jimenez of Cypress. The merchandise recovered was valued at $191.81. Jimenez was charged with Theft and taken to the Harris County Jail where she was later released on a $500 Bond.
