11/4/2009

October 30, 2009
On this date at about 3:45 a.m., Deputy Denham responded to a local alarm at a business in the 16300 block of Avenue C in Channelview. As Deputy Denham arrived on the scene, he observed a white male dressed in black, placing items into a Ford truck. The truck was inside the business yard. Deputy Denham used a flashlight to illuminate the suspect who then jumped into the truck and drove into an adjacent wooded area. Other units responded and set up perimeter at the request of Deputy Denham. Deputy Graves and his canine partner “Kanu” tracked the suspect who was found hiding behind a tree. The suspect was identified as 34-year-old Frank Booth. Mr. Booth advised he was allegedly stealing copper because he was homeless and out of work. The truck used in the burglary was the property of the business. Mr. Booth was arrested and charged with burglary of a building.
