While patrolling near the 400 block of Uvalde, HCSO Deputy Prado was flagged down by a motorist that was involved in a traffic accident. Deputy Prado determined that the driver of a white pickup truck caused the accident. The driver, identified as Wilmer Rodriguez, was arrested and charged with DWI. He pled guilty and was sentenced to serve one year in jail and pay a $500 fine. His driver’s license was also suspended for two years. The punishment came only weeks after Mr. Rodriguez was sentenced to serve 30 days in the Harris County Jail on another DWI case that occurred in July of 2009.
