Man Armed with Spatula Charged with Aggravated Robbery

9/25/2009

While patrolling on Sheldon Road September 19, 2009, Deputy Auzenne was flagged down by a gas station clerk that was chasing another man. The clerk yelled that he’d been robbed. Deputy Auzenne caught the suspect on Woodforest where he observed the suspect throw $220 on the ground. The money and the suspect were returned to the scene of the crime. He was identified as 18-year-old Patrick Gardiner of Channelview. A witness and the complainant advised that Mr. Gardiner demanded the money as he brandished a shiny object. That object was later found to be a large industrial size spatula. Mr. Gardiner is being held in the Harris County Jail on a $30,000 bond, charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
