November 2, 2009, a New Caney man was accused of allegedly stealing $350 worth of merchandise from the Target store located at 6931 East FM 1960. The alleged shoplifter reportedly maneuvered around the store while riding on an electronic shopping cart provided for handicapped shoppers. The suspect,
27-year-old Billy Doolan, is accused of hiding two pairs of pants, several video games and DVD movies in a canvas bag. Doolan reportedly paid for only one video game and exited the store without paying for the other items in his possession. Mr. Doolan was arrested by Deputy Carroll and charged with theft. He is out of jail on a $500 bond.
