Deputy Stowe and Deputy Jenkins responded to a theft call at Lowe’s Home Improvement located at 7355 East FM 1960. It is alleged that a 24-year-old employee by the name of Antoinette Legaux had allowed two unknown suspects to pass through her register without paying for their items. The store security officer became suspicious when he observed one of the men going through the cashier line quickly, although he had a cart full of items. The officer proceeded to his own computer to review the purchase history for that register and found that the customer had only been charged for one item. A loss prevention officer for Lowe’s estimates the items stolen from the store total approximately $3,000. Ms. Legaux was arrested for theft and is out on a $2,000 bond.
