The Investigative Support Division is a component of the Field Operations Support Bureau. This Division is responsible for the command of five distinct units charged with providing support services to the Patrol and Detective Bureau Operations.

The Divisions, Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) Operations Center, Alarm Details, Crime Scene Unit - CSU Operations, Evidence/Property Room - EPR Operations, and the Sheriff's Regional Firearms Identification Laboratory - FIL Operations, are all considered support services because each provides secondary investigative services pertinent to the successful investigation and/or prosecution of criminal activities reported to the Sheriff's Office.
